I'm always late to the party...I have posted two uoa's of QSGB used in my Taurus. Not only nice results but my engine has been very quiet while using it (for last 14K miles now). One oci was 5100 miles in winter and other was 5900 miles in summer.

198k miles on a cone K&N. Have cleaned it 3 times. I'm not sure I'd use a panel K&N because the cone has much tighter in pleat-spacing. I'm happy with K&N.

Is a gun oil first and foremost a bore lubricant and rust preventative? Then all other areas are an afterthought-more or less?

I did spin the piston clockwise and got it in, that wasn't a problem. The issue is after it's turned in and the caliper put back on, once I push on the brake pedal and the caliper piston meets the pad again and snugs up it won't let go. It holds it s

are all of the caliper sliding surfaces clean, rust-free - and does the caliper easily slide on the mount? did you have to force the pads into place or do they also move freely? are the caliper pins clean, rust-free and lubricated? if all of

Did you clean the groove the metal clips for the pads ride in really well? On those they are known to rust up and create a tight fit and dragging brakes (I toasted my rears @ 55k due to that). You can also check the inboard pad alignment - the meta

Dumb question, what direction did you spin the piston? Shop manual says it should be clockwise.

Maine just keeps going. I have a stack of old plates and I can request a reuse "just because I like the number." I'm sure few do this. It might be a tighter control for the DMV to issue a stack of 100 sequential ones to their subordinate
