I had Mobil 5000 in the CVPI and it was burning a quart every 1500. I switched to Valvoline Maxlife that I picked up for a song and its now just under 3000 miles per quart. Not as huge a difference as in your case, but yeah, HM oil does work.

If E10 was 'the' issue, it would potentially be dispersed across more brands (basically anyone with a cellulose media and it would be distributed more equally across even tearolator's product line. Ruptures might even be distributed around the media

I always thought high mileage oils were a farce. The Pennzoil HM I put in the cherokee seems to have slowed down the leak from the oil pan gasket and whatever else. It's no longer dripping on the exhaust crossover and marking it's territory!
