Hey guys, I was wondering if Canola oil could be used as an upper cylinder lubricant. I have no idea as to it's combustion ash content. I believe since it does not have any metallic additives that it can burn cleanly with no ash, hence ashless. Ideally I would like it to replace TCW3 in my brew, which I feel comfortable with due to it being ashless. This goes the same for using SVO or even highly filtrated WVO as I would like to try other oils and blends. This is in a 2001 Monte Carlo where my current brew is added at 4-6oz per 17 gallon fill up. I use a beautiful blend of cleaners and lubes currently and just want to see if this is a route to take.
