Autopsied a Racor LFS Auto Trans Filter today and thought you might like to see it. The filter features 234 square inches of a synthetic, wire backed media with well constructed metal end caps. It has 10 um absolute efficiency, 6um nominal efficiency and flows 8 GPM. The bypass is dome end, looks well constricted and is set to open at 20 psid. Didn't mike the can but my Jegs filter cutter had a devil of a time with it. It comes in a kit with bracket and fittings and then you buy the hose kit separately. It was designed as an add-on for trucks in severe service.
