That's the old standard "car" small block Chev filter (ie the short version). I actually have an AC Delco filter of about the same age in its box, and it's a PF-25. I don't want to use it since it's so old, so I've kept it as a keep sake.

I believe late 70's early 80's. What the heck is 20/20w though?!

Paraffin base stocks are high quality.

20W20. It exists. Its marked both because its possible with enough low grade base stocks to have it not meet the 20W specification.

The 'SF' spec came into effect in 1979 or 1980....so those cans are bothe early 1980's.

Those are really cool collector items - keep 'em!

It all looks new still! Love the "Helps reduce stalling" on the Sunoco oil can. You just about poop when/if your car stalls out on you now. Back then just getting them started was a blessing under certain conditions.

20W20.
Yep, my F-I-L's trucks (Ford F-600/700, 330 and 361 gas engines) were serviced every week back in the late 60's/early 70's with Gulf 20/20W. Seemed to work fine - they both ran well over 200,000 miles.

I seem to remember a thread in here some time ago questioning whether or not there actually was such an oil weight.
