Sentury Tire Thailand is recalling 8,900 Arroyo, Landgolden, Landsail, Lexani, Lionhart, Mavis, Mohave, National, Radar, and Vercelli tires. The tire's base tread layer was improperly cured, which can result in tread separation, causing vehicle instability, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Yikes, not so good.

The Tracker I got had some Mohave's on it that I replaced with mud tires. They were 215/70R15's that were a couple years old with 50% tread. I listed the set on FB marketplace for $120 and I had people wanting me to hold them so they could literally drive 2+ hours to pick them up.. Blew my mind. Dude that got them said he was going to put them on his trailer. A new set of these things would have been $280 at discount tire and I could not believe folks willing to go out of their way for some stinkin used Mohave brand tires..

Interesting. Reading the NHTSA docs, it appears there was one reported incident, at least to date and in the US, in late October which led to the recall of one week's production. If so, kudos to the manufacturer for quick action.

I say this as the kid who, in 1976 or so, enjoyed the experience of being in the back seat (unrestrained..we didn't need no stinkin child seats!) of Dad's car when a Firestone 500 decided to let go. Recall started in '78. Good days 😧

You should get a sticker: No Airbags, we die like real men! :)

I've heard of a couple of these brands, but didn't realize they where all manufactured by the same company. Also, I didn't know Lexani tires existed. I only know them for their huge rims that people liked to put on their Escalades in the 2000s.
