On a turbo Subaru, yes keep using synthetic and don't run it for more than 5000 miles.
Turbo subarus are really hard on oil, I've had many of them, and those that try to be smart and run it longer are the ones that end up with issues. Never skimp on oil with turbocharged subbies!!
