Many of the tracks are in my opinion way too short for the number of cars and the speed. Something needs to be done. Remember Dan? Do we want a repeat?

Agree completely. I was at the race in Vegas where Wheldon was killed, still have it stuck in my head. I will be going to the Indy race in Fontana, we know one of the drivers so we go to support him, but it still scares me seeing open wheel cars that close that fast.

I remember watching the race in Fontana where Greg Moore died... that was terrible. I vividly remember the broadcast camera switching to his car a split second before hitting the wall head on at ~200 mph. All that was left was the cockpit with a motionless body. Awful... maybe that is one of the reasons I don't care for high speed oval racing.

I have a work freind who can't bring herself to watch any racing, Currently esp nascar nationwide, but Previously Indy cars.
Sam Hornish Jr. is her cousin. she just knows if she watches, she'll see he cousin die.
