PIAGGIO VESPA PK 125 S AUTOMATICA - Oil

Hi guys, when I have any doubts about the oil I ask here and I'm more sure.

My brother recovered a PIAGGIO VESPA PK 125 S AUTOMATICA. Unfortunately, he does not have the workshop manual and he asked me for help to change the oil on the final drive (the one on the side of the rear wheel).

I removed about half a liter of oil from the drain plug. Obviously it's brown, it stinks.

I wanted to be sure, the oil that should fit is Dexron II?

Because in another Vespa (not automatic) it was written to put an SAE30 oil. Is it plausible that the version with automatic transmission uses a different oil?

Yes, an automatic vs not automatic transmission would probably use different oil. Follow the correct manual specs.

Not an answer to your question, but it brings back memories of my youth and a Vespa 175GS only then there was only manual transmission.

That's right . Not having the original user manual and having found a different oil than what I expected in the one in PDF made me panic

Non sapevo che la Vespa esisteva con il cambio automatico. Che meraviglia! Credo che questo lo sai, ATFII non esiste piu. Se hai un po rimasto dal BMW puoi anche usare quello. E' solo mezzo litro che hai bisogno, vero?

I have a kymco 50cc and the final drive uses 90 sae gear oil. I've got a bottle of 80w-90 Im using.
