New oils get better....but cold specs get worse?!?

I'm running 3 litres Motomaster 5W20 Synthetic with 1 litre Mobile 1 5W30 synth for the winter in my Toyoto 1ZZFE engine.

I'm hoping it'll help with those cold weather starts.

The climate is getting warmer AND they are trying to save money in their formulations.

I don't think oil companies formulate their oils based on what the climate is going to do, do they? They have to assume that in some part of their market, the climate will warrant a very low cold properties for 0W and 5W oils......

Can Johnny or anyone else with some contacts inside Pennzoil verify that the PP 5W-30 5150 cP number is @ -30 C, instead of the -35 C listed on their spec sheet?
