need a guide on rooting my tablet, details inside

I have a Coby Kyros that has been great until AppsLib, their version of Play Store stopped working. Since Coby's customer service is WORTHLESS, I need to either root this thing or find a step by step on getting Play Store installed. Can anyone help? I have seen a few places on-line that talk about it but unless you live on their forum and understand all the software and lingo they are using, you are lost. The few youtube tutorials I have seen have the same issue. I need an easy to follow step by step. I am pretty computer savvy and shouldn't have an issue if spelled out properly. Thanks in advance!

Another option might be using the Amazon app store and not rooting your tablet. But rooting it doesn't seem that hard. I haven't done it, my sister was looking into a cheap tablet but I convinced her to buy a refurbed Samsung. But that's why I had looked into this.

Using the clockwork backup you can always roll back to what you have now.
