Is this message from Amazon or a phishing scam?

Got this email a few days ago and expanded the From part. Is that a legit Amazon address? When I go to my Amazon account in the Message Center, there is no mention of this. And if someone knows my password, why would they be "ATTEMPTING" to sign-in to my account? Wouldn't they have done so already?

I use Amazon's 2 step verification to eliminate any hacking. They text a 2nd code directly to my phone.

"Click here to deny" is the dead giveaway that it's phishing. If it were real two factor (it is not), whoever is trying to log in is denied anyway because they don't know the code. You don't have to do anything but delete the message and not give the code to anyone.

Kinda good attempt because they are utilizing Amazon cloud for their phishing.
