+1 I would just advertise it as "wiped 6x for my protection and yours".
I doubt an ID thief would spend $50-200 on a computer that would be hard to crack when there are easier targets in dumpsters etc. Or he could just get a job at best buy in "geek squad" and fix porn-ridden virus-infected machines day in and out.
If you're advertising it on craigslist, be on a first name basis with your buyer. EG don't give your last name! If you reply to emails, clear it out of there. Meet someone in a parking lot and get cash. No address, no last name... hard to tie stuff to you.

Realistically if the person is still going to get your data after that type of disc based clean you may as well give up. It is easier to break into a working PC then try and recover your bits of data. Identify thieves will move to easy target.
