My Amprobe 600 current clamp gave up the ghost after 25 years. Took it apart and could not find any obvious failure, so I have to get a new one to use with my oscilloscopes.

Looked at Hantek and even cheaper clamps on Amazon and there was mention of excessive drift and noise, so I decided to go for a quality unit and decided to get the Fluke i1010. Went on ebay looking for the lowest price and a listing for the Gossen Metrawatt came up.

This is the company https://www.gmc-instruments.de/en/brands/gossen-metrawatt/ It is a 115 year old big German company.

This is the clamp https://www.gossenmetrawattusa.com/...nt-technology/accessories/multimeters/cp1100/
The clamp is mentioned as being suitable for use with multimeters, with no mention of oscilloscopes. That concerned me a bit, but it does mention its frequency range being up to 20 kHz, so I don't see how it cannot be suitable for use with a scope.

I took a bit of a gamble and ordered it, will arrive in a couple of weeks. Wondering how it compares to Fluke current clamps.

It can be used with a scope, just need a dual banana to BNC adapter. The specs are slightly better than the Fluke you mentioned at first glance. These things are for super high currents so don’t expect incredible resolution at low current.

My Amprobe also had the dual banana plugs, so I have the banana-BNC adapter.
I have a OTC 60/20A clamp and it is good for low currents but not good for starter currents, especially for the Freightliner trucks at work. I current ramp starters occasionally to monitor their health. Also do relative compression tests when trouble shooting engine issues.
