Cirrus SR-22 Saved by CAPS - Bellevue, WA

I just dead headed on a Dash 8 Q400 turbo prop , which is a lot quieter than any piston engine plane , and my ears are still bothering me from the noise.
Just be glad you left the chocks - my experience with that airplane was a flight completion rate of well below 70%. If I saw a Q400 for my commuter, or deadhead flight, I would start to get nervous about whether or not that thing would actually start up correctly and takeoff.

Noisy, slow, and unreliable. Quite the combination.

It’s very rare for me to DH ( I always drive the 1:50 hour trip from my home to my base ) but they were short a Captain and asked me to help out.

Nice change doing different routes.

The regional airline that operate them up here are very short pilots and that’s the main issue up here when flying on them ( cancelled flights ).
