Catalytic converter theft ring from Philadelphia just busted

I change out a lot of converters from either collision damage or failures. Here in RI you now have to have the VIN number from the car which the converter came off of ( I think my scrap yard said registration number too ) and a photo ID. A few of the scrap yards won't even take them anymore. I personally do not care about the money because I made money doing the repair so I just need to get rid of the scrap. I throw it in with the regular metals now. With my luck I'd get caught with a pile of converters and my face would be on the evening news.

At least most of us can be thankful we don’t need to do that to make a living. In the big picture there are so many unlikely problems today in our society (look at the Supreme Court and its ethical conduct)
SCOTUS is nothing compared to Congress and their 'insider trading'....something Martha Stewart went to jail for....and don't forget the big guy...
