I recently heard that BP are no longer making there own oils anymore since the BP ownership of Castrol had taken place. This may only be in regards to Australian oils I'm not sure.

I always preferd BP oils like the Visco 3000 and 5000 over Castrols, and would like to think they are still there own products, does anyone know anymore about this?

Some guy was trying to tell me that Visco 3000 is really GTX3 and Visco 5000 now Edge 0w 40. I find that really hard to believe, but I thought I would ask the question.

Francis, I wouldn't think that they'd sell a low vis PAO oil (edge 0W-40) in the place of a 5W-40 which has traditionally been a group three.

I was trying to look up the PDS and see what the visc etc...but they use a common search "engine" in their repsective websites that is equally useless, and doesn't in fact, search.
