Best air hose for a reel?

Appreciate the reel recs anyway, I may end up getting one for my shed

I'm looking to buy a new hose but I dont know what size to get . And what about MNPT fittings

Aeroquip or Milton though are rather pricy

Go 3/8” with 1/4” npt connections. This should work well for a home mechanic. I have that size and run a 1/2” impact with it. Make sure you buy hi flow quick disconnect fittings.
