Any free driver updater out there ?

Is there any reason you want the latest?

I often just leave drivers alone unless they cause problem.

Infact, the only drivers I may update now and again are video drivers only. The rest I just leave be.

Just a serious question because you probably don't need to change most of your drivers just for general use.

In short, I think your only option would be something from a manufacturer. Lenovo (the maker of my laptop) has Lenovo care or something like that. It does driver updates for me. (I don't use it, I installed Windows 7 pro to get rid of all the pre-loaded bloat)

Windows Update

Chipset vendor, graphics chip vendor, etc would be who I trust.

I once had a Netgear NIC that will blue screen when using bit torrent, turns out that the Netgear driver is out of date and National Semiconductor (the chip vendor) has an updated driver that solves the problem.
