Another system.

This one isnt like mine. Its for my Mom. Built out of a system that I killed by shorting out the 12v rail on the power supply.
Its replacing a Athlon XP 3000+ machine.

Antec EarthWatts 650W (New)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

With this, every machine in the house will be 64-bit capable, except for my server and my old P4 3.2GHz machine which I have not decided a use for. I might use it to replace my aging Duron server, or buy a tuner card and a gigantic HD for MythTV..

Sounds like a good setup. I have learned to work on computers a fair amount over the years. I am using the first one I built right now. An Athlon 1800.
I had a 1.6 Intel that I made the mistake of flashing the bios. Oops I flashed it with the Intel bios. I was supposed to use the Gateway bios. It was not recoverable. I tried everything under the sun.

Then the Gateway Media Center I had bought just stopped working one time. Never could get it going again.

So that leaves my little Athlon and a laptop. I am now sworn off Gateway, Dell etc.

I will build or buy a Systemax or something like that.
