I have one (EaA) for my Z28. I'll install it at the next oil change (and CRC maf cleaning) and report back. I may even do my first UOA on the subsequent OCI to see how well it's working! I'm curious, does anyone know if A.J. (Amsoil founder) had to pay Donaldson a patent on these things (and the EaOs)?? They seem extremely close in design and function.
I have a 17 yr old Honda lawnmower with a filter (OEM) that looks like a miniature of the Amzoil. The manual says to clean and oil the foam, and I do that yearly more or less. I have yet to replace the paper element since the foam protects it very well. The lawnmower has led a fairly hard life and is about worn out but the filter still looks good.
It stacks up very well, but you won't see any specific comparisons against other air filters from AMSOIL. There are a good number of manufacturers providing input/assembly to AMSOIL filters--and it wouldn't be in anyone's best interest to be pointing fingers at your coalition.
