I’ve used those Premium Guards before. Not the Microgard version, but the actual Premium Guard. Even the gasket is silicone on them. Great filters. The Ecogard Synthetic+ is another good filter.

When I was cross referencing filters, I came across this Prime Guard Synthetic. Didn’t know they made a synthetic filter. All I’ve ever seen before are the regular Prime Guards at Rural King.

RockAuto has them for normal prices. But eBay is also a great place to look.

Might be better off just ordering filters by the case, if you have a filter size that’s harder to find. Then it'll ship in the manufacturers box. RockAuto sells some filters like this.

Got to watch out with Amazon too. I heard of people getting dented filters from them. Apparently they’re just shipping the filters in a sealed bag & not a box. I look at the pictures before buying filters from eBay. If they only use a stock photo, I won’t buy it.

Is the ADBV in the Ultraguard the same as the regular ACDelco?

I remember just 2-3 years ago the Extra Guards being about $4, the Tough Guards being $6, & the Ultras being $8. With these prices, I usually buy my filters from Rural King, or order a few at a time from eBay. Prime Guards are $2.99, & the Fram Ultras are $8.99 at Rural King.

They sell Prime Guards at Rural King for $2.99. I use them occasionally. Good filter for the price. They used to be $1.99. Who makes the Luber Finer ones? Champ Labs?

Now for oil, Rural King had their Providence 5 quart jugs of full synthetic for $17.99 when I was there recently. Been using Rural King oil for years & it works great. Supertech is another one I run.
