To seal or not to seal driveway

Remember that a new unsealed driveway will soak it up like a sponge. It's soaks up less and less on subsequent sealings. Just so you are prepared for that if and when you get an estimate. They guy isn't trying to scam you when he tells you that, the materials cost will be higher when new.

New Audi SQ8 - Break In Oil Change Or Let It Ride?

You are going to get all sorts of different answers here, but I think that nearly all purchasers of a brand new Audi would never think of this. (Or any make, for that matter) They would simply take the car to the dealer for the first oil change whenever the user manual says. Probably even...

Not to mention... If you're paying cash in Canada and the pump stops at $85.07, there are no pennies so they stick you for the extra $.03!!! ;)

    Your favorite jobber oil filters?

I've been using jobber filters for the 35 years I've been driving, and I generally keep my cars for a dozen or more years, and 200k+ miles. I get rid of them when the rest of the car is rusting away around a perfectly fine engine. So I ask the question... How is using a jobber filter wrong?

All the cars in my signature are running Champs... Except the Volvo. It's got an EcoGard, but I can't remember why.

Sleep schedule differences between you and significant other.

My wife heads to bed at 9:37 as reliably as a German train schedule. She gets up around 6. I, on the other hand, try to be in bed by 11, and get up at 4:30. Weekends are similar... We both sleep a little later than weekdays, but I'm still up and at 'em 90 minutes or so before her. I guess...

Safety violation does not end well, towing a camper

Very gentle taps on the trailer brakes only. And immediatly... It can get out of control very quickly, as you see in the video. And yes, once control is regained, SLOW DOWN!

Buying things that will last you the rest of your life.

In 2017 I put a steel roof on the cottage. That should last the rest of my life. It will certainly last long enough to be my kids' problem next time. :)

    Glutton for punishment day.

Can you renew the Ontario license and Outdoor Card on line? I usually buy the 3 year license to minimize trips into town, but renewing on-line before I even go to the cottage would be ideal!
