That’s good to know. I’m trying to research different forums and figure out why some people have water pump issues with the pumps that come in the Aisin kits vs. using the Toyota branded Aisin.. Haven’t found any conclusive evidence just yet..

Gates suck.. I used upper and lower radiator hoses from them on my 2001 Mustang GT and they weren’t even cut right at the ends making them too short to even use..

The Aisin water pump and Aisin Toyota water pumps seem to have slight variations in castings from what I’ve seen online when comparing the two

Thanks a lot slacktide! Luckily I already changed out the valve cover gaskets and plugs with OEM Toyota back in January of this year, but next time around I’ll try out the Bosch plugs as you recommended. Hoping whenever I have to tackle this the car goes easy on me 🤣

That was a huge factor for me when buying a Japanese car. The 1MZ being non-interference helped me choose that over a manual Accord from the same generation.

How long ago did you buy your Toyota struts? The supplier for Toyota on my car are KYB for the rear and Sachs for the fronts..
