    60 Minutes Nvidia AI segment

I can’t help believing the people having the times of their lives building AI, will someday regret it when AI comes for THEIR livelihoods.

Help with lawn mower primer bulb.

A lot of times the problem isn’t the bulb, but the squirrels made the diagnosis easy this time. lol

    Replacement PCM

Sia Electronics in Tilden, IL. My ‘07 Ford Ranger ecu/pcm froze up while installing a new lock cylinder. (Vandalism) They found nothing wrong and just rebooted it. They were honest in telling me mine was still good and charged me a $75 fee. It was frustrating because no dealer would touch it...

Phone hacked, brick and mortar saved me.

My iPhone was stolen a year ago, and recently someone bought $900 of crypto. I called my cell provider and my PIN number had been changed. I went to a Boost location and flopped down my ID and the credit card on file and got control of my account back. Credit union put a stop and all is good...

Have you ever had to replace an engine in a car?

I replaced a 383 in my 67 Coronet with 3 2x4 studs, 3 cinder blocks, and a cable winch. I had to deflate the front tires to clear the radiator support. Circa 1980

    STP Ceramic oil treatment

Just added this to my 2.3 ‘07 Ranger and it’s very slick. The question is for how long? I remember using a Teflon product called Tufoil, and it too was very slick. For about a week, it seemed.

    QuikTrip's additive

I’d like to know more as well. Not just about QT. Maybe someone from Oronite can do a live chat here? It’s a mystery to me since there seem to be many more gasoline brands than fuel additive suppliers.

What oils did you use for carbeurated vehicles

Valvoline 20w-50 racing oil, because everyone thought “gas station oil” would ruin your engine. Early 80s urban legends. Along with how “horrible” Monroe shocks were. Lol

Is Traveller TSC oil any good?

I bought some smitty’s HM 10w-30 on clearance at Kmart years ago. Can’t seem to find it anywhere, searching led me to this thread. Might try QS Dino HM.

Use 10W-20 as a replacement for XW-20 and XW-30 applications?

I called HPL tech today and was told “both” 10w-20 were single grade. Possibly a generic description borrowed from one of the other grades? But I did get an answer as to which 10w-20 is better suited for a colder climate, and I believe I was told the more expensive variety because it’s PAO...

Use 10W-20 as a replacement for XW-20 and XW-30 applications?

Okay, first HPL does not have a 10w-20 with VII on their web page. They have one with PAO, and one that’s Group III. ( a vulgar generalization ) Both straight grade. Also, I placed an order not knowing about the bitog discount, and they added it for me! Nobody else has ever done that.

Use 10W-20 as a replacement for XW-20 and XW-30 applications?

Yes, it’s on the website riddled with grammatical errors. I kid of course. But its in my 2007 Ranger and the 2.3 seems to like it. Smooth.

Use 10W-20 as a replacement for XW-20 and XW-30 applications?

Old thread but HPL has a 10w20 with VII now. Possibly would behave more like 5w20 below freezing?

What's the consensus on Mobil1's filters lately?

If I ran long OCI I would run the Mobil 1. I just had a bad experience with an FU though. I couldn't get it off. It's the first time in 35 years I've had that problem.

Oil Colour to Consider Condition of Oil?

Well, James at Lubrication Engineers told me years ago that it just means it's cleaning your engine if it turns black quickly.
