Metal vs Fiber End Disks Video

Makes sense, especially seeing the other brands different endcap sealing methods. I always buy Fram Orange cans and have for 27 years. Never an engine problem.

Kroger oil changed up a bit...

Yes I noticed. I bought some a few weeks ago when I wanted to save a trip to Autozone. Probably just as good as store label stuff and less expensive too.

Carb bowl vents... plugged or open to atmosphere?

Yes, I agree the bowls need to be vented. I just looked at the carb and it looks like it also has two other vent tubes (brass) that are on top side inside the air cleaner. From what I just read, the solenoids close shut the outer two vent tubes when the ignition is on. Having them open to...

Carb bowl vents... plugged or open to atmosphere?

Hi Guys, 1984 Mustang with V8 4bbl carb. Previous owner disconnected both vapor recovery emissions solenoids. Both solenoids are trashed. He plugged the tubes off.... My question is whether to keep the bowl vent tubes blocked off or should they be open to atmosphere.??? I do have trouble keeping...

'01 Mustang Gt - New ticking noise after last OCI

Exhaust manifold leak. Check the studs. My 2002 F150 had this issue. Minor annoyance, could be expensive fix if the studs break in the cyl head during repair.

End of the Buick Verano after 2017?

+1 How soon everyone forgets how painful $4 a gallon gas was a few years ago. The US manufacturers are slowly sending all of their small car production out of the country. When the next recession hits, or gas goes back up to $4 a gallon, large truck and SUV sales will slow and so will our US...

Carlisle Radial Trail HD Trailer Tire

I had them on my camping trailer and had no issues. Keep an eye on your inflation pressures and don't overload the axles. When cracks appear on sidewalls, replace.

    tire question

Don't try to remove it unless you are prepared to have the tire go flat. It will not reseal itself. Find a tire shop and have them do it. Discount Tire does repairs free. Good Luck!

93 mercury sable unlock steering wheel

No disrespect, but I think your original question is clear, so no need to "ask it in a different way". Michaelluscher proposed the right way to look at your dilemma. Since your not interested in that, why ask anyone? Just hammer the steering column open or have it towed out.

    need help from the collective

Whatever you do, don't give up the car to insurance company if they total it out. A good restoration shop can fix it, so see how much $$$ they will give you and let you keep the car. I saw the pic and teared up... it's a classic so hold onto it.

New ND-30 API SA spotted at WM

Perfect for my air compressor, it needs non-detergent 30W. Anyone stupid enough to put this in any gas / diesel motor deserves to have problems.

    Grille shutters and their benefits

Just wait until they start to get stuck, and you get an engine light on the dash board. My 2013 would have this problem every once in a while. Couldn't tell it was due to those stupid things until after I went to dealer for the light.
