Stephen, How many kays does your RAV have on it and what year model/engine? I use the exact same oil in my Forester yet I have some very different results to yours after the first service. I know there isnt a comparison (different engines and all) but it may help me to understand my results...

Thanks mate. Just to be safe ill be sticking to 6000km changes which is twice as often as prescribed by Subaru. Now if only I can get the dealer to put the correct oil in to start with. Im very angry about that. Definitely an enjoyable car to drive.
