Technically DEF is not Urea it is Ammonia or NH3. Urea is CO(NH2)2.

I would shy away from any DEF that claims to have additives. DEF should nothing but pure ammonia and de ionized water. Peak is actually of the brands that we have the most issues with.

You can use UDT or an equivalent but original spec was SAE 80 gear lube.

I would suspect it is a Chevron product. Most likely XLC with a different dye package.

As you were told on that forum Volvo specs an ISO VG 46 hyd. oil with a minimum VI of 160.

Go the hardware store and get a bottle of lye ( drain cleaner). You may have to ask for it as some places keep it behind the counter thanks to the meth cookers. Mix a cup in a couple gallons of water and soak for a few days. You black stuff will brush right off.
