Oil drain plug on a Kohler K341 (Allis 918H.)

I have a Miller welder with a K341S and the drain is on the side right under the dipstick/fill.

    22.5" 10 lug conversion

Go with 19.5's, you'll have issues getting 22.5's on there where they don't rub turning. 22.5's are also very heavy and will kill mileage.

Best Sythetic for 7.3 PSD Downunder T444E Inter

I would say any good 15W40 would work fine but if you want a synthetic the Rotella will work fine. I have a 2000 Powerstroke that has hauled some very heavy loads, 25,000 lbs. for over 700 miles, (yes, slightly overloaded) in that kind of temps and never had a problem with the oil.

List your engine's HP/Liters of oil

I definately agree about the Diesels, the 7.6L in my International is 250hp and holds 32 quarts..... so that's roughly 8hp/L.

Fuel Economy: Lighter Oils in Tractor Diesels

I doubt you'll notice any difference in fuel economy but it might make cold winter starts a little easier. Is the Ford engine a Perkins?

I think I am in deep trouble

Go ahead and complete the change, start it and then pull the new filter off or just loosen it to see if there's oil in it (or even see if the filter heats up after driven a little ways). Whatever you do you're going to have to complete the oil change. And do whatever you have to do to get the...

    new cummins owner with questions

Fleetguard filters can be found at most large truck dealerships, Kenworth, International, Pete, etc. Prices are pretty good too, the one for my International is huge (holds around a gallon) and is somewhere around $15.

    Few Noob Questions

Might want to add what model Jeep it is and what engine. Sounds like it's probably overkill (not a bad thing) if you're changing all that fluid everytime you use it if it isn't contaminated with water etc.

    Help with ATV !!

I don't really know anything about that engine but is it possible for the timing to get off? That could make it hard to start. Or are you saying that it doesn't get gas?

    Lubing my chassis

I would get one of the guns that has a "trigger" instead of the long lever arm for pumping grease. That way you can hold the hose on the fitting with one hand and hold and pump the grease gun with the other hand..... the ones with the lever can be difficult to use without three hands in some...

    Lube experts needed

Sounds good to me. The Centinel mixes it so the oil in the fuel is .3% according to your info so every 1000 gallons of fuel you burn you burn 3 gallons of oil.

Shell sets new Guinness World Record for Fuel Economy

Everyone knows it was Exxon that bought the 100mpg carb, not Shell.

    Kubota oil filter?

Have you tried going to an autoparts store and having them look up the filters? I had no problem finding Wix for my GF1800e.

Got TSC's there? I noticed they have it there also.

    Big wheel mowers

I saw a Toro walkbehind selfpropelled yesterday at a store that looked to be about 24". It looked exactly like their commercial series http://www.toro.com/professional/lce/midsize/index.html but it sure looked more like a 24" to me.

Anyone recognize this Freightliner filter head??

Looks like a fuel filter head to me.... sort of similar to one of the filter heads on my International.

Are there GOOD Gas cans anymore?

I feel your pain. My favorite feature the Blitz cans have is being ventless, that way if you have to put more than a cup of gas in something it goes glug-glug-glug and spills at least as much as you get in the tank..... of course the whole time it's also dripping on your foot because the filler...

Oilguard bypass on 92 ford IDI?

I would go to one of the websites that have forums for 6.9's and 7.3 IDI's (thedieselstop.com is one) and see what the guys there say. There should be somebody that knows where the ports are that you need.

    Glass vs. paper

Last night I was looking through the Wix online filter finder and noticed that they have two different oil filters listed for my big truck (IHC 4900 with DT466E). One has paper media and is the standard filter and the other says glass media and is listed for extended drains. I'm assuming...

    Caterpillar 3608 Stationary Engine OCI
