I noticed that since my last change to 5W40 redline my car Golf V R32 exhausts emitted over a long smoke. It had a bad odor and the exhausts were darkened. I raised the filler cap, smelt the back who did not feel as hot oil when I used previous 5W40 Group III oils. Oil were darkened too...

Is an oil 5W40 505.01 standard (for standard Pümp Dose) with a higher HTHS is better in an engine than a VR6 oil with standard conventional gasoline engine VW 502.00/505.00 ???

I did my oil change recently & put in my motor GM Genuine motor oil Dexos 2 5W30. I bought 2 cans in Deutschland on eBay for a great price. I haven't find anything on the manufacturer on the web & I would like to know the specs of this oil. Is this oil made by Mobil 1 ? Thanks. :US
