    Oil for Ford 8N Tractor??

Convert it too 12v or use starting fluid in cold weather. My 9n gets Non-detergent 30 weight and I've never had a problem starting it in temps well below 0.

95 Pathfinder overheated on the freeway

VG30E's have 13 bolts per head holding them on, they wont warp/blow gaskets as easy as say gm or ford engines that use 8 bolts. I highly dought you will have a problem.

Appropriate oil for 24 Hours of LeMons

Its a honda, its gonna burn oil. I'd run a 10-40 or a 15-40 dino in it and hope for the best. If it really smokes at idle run a 2-50 super tech mud. Racing is ment too be fun, you dont need too drop 150 bucks just on oil.

Engine restorer VS Rislone Compression Repair

Looks like this topic is about ran dry. But since it has too do with restore I will add my .02. Once I had a 99 sl1 saturn with a head that was cracked(read it would suck 3 quirts of 20w50 supertech oil from the pan and shove it into the radiator in 30-40miles. I thought what the heck and...

    Buffer or hand action?

How many of you use a powered buffer when waxing? I only ask because it seems too be a ok debate, I personally can see the reason behind using a buffer and have in the past but I'm afraid I'll burn the paint so I've gone back to the awsome hand action (2 full size trucks aday every few month=...

    OK, what about grease?

Amsoil, supertech, house brand, There all the same(not really, but typically there all rated for the same stuff, marine grease wont exspand as much but will liquidfy at lower temps then others). If your looking for extreme pound out I would lean towards Amsoil, but there 5.00 a tube. A car...

diesel oil in a gas car

My 2 cents are your rings are stuck, do a MMO soak and it will cut back on oil usage by loads. No lie ethier, theres tales of peoples saturns burning a quirt every 500 miles and a MMO soak cuts it down too a 1/2 quirt every 5k

Looking under a friends oil cap, scary?

Looks normal too me for a ford project. Both my current and old f150s looked the same, one was a 5.4 and the current is a 4.2 I wouldnt be too worried, I would how ever let it sit for a while and check the oil for a nice frothy milkshake.

    Bar's leaks

I used the heavy duty pellot stop leak for a torn hose(nissan vg30e, I thought water pump, but it was a hose) It worked great for a month then slowly starting dumping again. Also used a half bottle in a old 86 c-vic that had a mystery leak(maybe half quirt every 1500miles)and it stopped it.

Do I need to do chassis lubrication for my cars?

You know why the wal-mart people said that? Because there half-witted morons. Yes your car needs to be lubbed, if it has the zerk fittings on them then theres a reason for them. I have no respect for any wal-mart TLE person, every time I've bought tires there my car has come back with dents to...

    high gas prices again!

Fill up at 3.30 and topped off at 3.40 with in an hour. Loving my awsome 13.36 mpg my f150 gets, makes me think the 700 bucks for a new engine in my Saturn is worth it.
