What oil should I use? 2005 CRV Ownder

Hello fellow BITOG members. I haven't been here in awhile. I did a load of research many years ago. I'm back to ask for your advice and actually post since I have acquired a new-to-me car that doesn't have oil leaks and is worthy of quality oil. 1. 2005 Honda CRV AWD EX 2. Owner's manual says...

    Recommended me some oil!

So I decided to use a 10w40 Mobil1 High Mileage. It's supposed to have some additives to help swell up some of the old seals to help stop or slow some leaks. So far so good, my engine is liking this oil better than the Castrol Syntec 10w40. However, the weight might be too thick. This isn't...

    Recommended me some oil!

I wanted to bring this topic back from the dead as I'm reaching my OCI of 3000 miles and I'll be switching from the Castrol Syntec 10w40 to a Mobil1. What viscosity should I use for a 120,xxx mile engine? I want to revert to the factory recommended 5w30 but now I'm not so sure since it is...

^What car is that with? 5psi to 20psi hot seems like quite a difference. I'll have to find out what to look for and what the right psi is for my engine... The Grassroots Motorsports article "slippery slope" did a great job of explaining the temperature gauge readings, I wish they explained...

    Recommended me some oil!

Ok, awesome, I've got lots of different suggestions here so I've have some more research to do. So far, I'm not liking this Castrol Syntec 10w40 that's for sure, vibrations at idle are up, even the idle rpm seems to have jumped up a bit when cold. The car may sometimes sit for serveral days...

    Recommended me some oil!

Hello people of BITOG! I'm new here and have done a little lurking on and off, basically enough to learn about blackstone laboratories and a few oils out there. Anyways, down to business. I drive a 90 Integra which currently has 120,000 miles on it. This car is my track toy so the only miles...
