In my BMW R1150GS the 40W can't handle the 100+ temps, currently running Amsoil 20W50...just interested in something more convenient and cost effective. Didn't mean to get off topic.

I would like to try the Rotella if it only came in 50 weight...think it might some day?

Regarding the Rotella 5W40 or 15W40...I would like to try it in my R1150GS but I often ride in the summer, in 90 to 100+ temps, and I'm worried that it won't handle the higher temps. Any thoughts? Thanks, Tom
