    M1 vtwin 20w50 + rotella t6 5w40 = ?

I mixed 3 quarts of rotella 5w40 with almost a full quart of mobil 1 vtwin 20w50. What will this do to the weight? The bike calls for 10w40 and my thoughts are the 20w50 will help keep it a 40 weight at operating temp. Surely a 5w40 is going to shear quickly, but I haven't looked up any UOA's...

Castrol Syntec 20w50 for classic cars?

I have not seen it anywhere, but I don't usually look at the castrol offerings. I might try it in my motorcycle.

Redline Water Wetter and Royal Purple Purple Ice

Ditto on the scum when used with the ford gold coolant, but it will turn back into a liquid when hot. I won't be putting it or the gold coolant back in my car next time.

Castrol Syntec 20w50 for classic cars?

Has anyone seen a VOA for this oil? I want to know if it truly has more zddp than their standard syntec. I searched, but couldn't find anything about it.

Have you run the Valvoline 4 stroke? http://www.valvoline.com/products/consumer-products/motor-oil/motorcycle-atv-oil/13 I'm using it in my buell now. I might do a UOA if I can remember when I changed the oil last, lol! At only $4 a quart, it's a good deal compared to the synthetic alternatives.

    2008 FLHTCU, Amsoil MCV 20W50 3205 miles

3200 miles? I run Valvoline 4 stroke in my buell for 2000-2500 miles. Seems like over kill if you are going to change it that often. Any synthetic is going to be comparable at that change interval. I dare say my conventional oil will hold up well to that UOA, but i've never had it tested.

oil and it effect on pcv systems?

There's nothing fancy about a PCV system. It's a valve or valves on the valve cover that connects to the intake manifold via a hose. You car will suck oil through the pcv valve and into your intake manifold. The pcv is just for emissions. I have a filter on mine to catch the oil before it can...

    Thinner oils are definitely better

Just thin it out with some water.

***? 5w20 in the Ford Ecoboost Turbo!

I don't know if a 5w20 is going to be ideal for the long term, but that is a big, ugly car. 355hp isn't nearly enough to move that beast. Hopefully they over-engineered the motor and you can just crank up the boost for more power.

Valvoline takes on EDGE, says 9X less wear than M1

If mobil 1 doesn't meet the API SM tests, then why do all my old bottles say API SM on them? I might do valvoline synpower on my next oil change just to see if it produces a better UOA.

Dont use heavier then rec'd oil in FORD VCT cars

Why would you put 20w50 in a car that is spec'd for 5w30? My air-cooled vtwin specs 20w50 for christ's sake, that's because it runs freaking hot!
