Sorry if I missed it. But what brand of oil filter are you using?

How bad is short tripping for a diesel engine?

I think it will be fine actually since you do multiple 200 mile drives each month. That will clear out the DPF and any fuel dilution. My wife has a 12 VW Golf TDI with a DPF and we have had it for 2 1/2 years and 30k miles. Her work is 2 miles from home. But she drives it to her families house...

amsoil or royal purple 15w40 for a 06 cummins 5.9

Doesn’t Royal Purple use a lot of Moly? And doesn’t Cummings claim moly causes valvetrain wear or something and are totally against using it.

    Honda XLV1000-22,000km, Amsoil MCF for1year, 5000k

First of all I would say that there is more to using synthetics then just long drains. But to answer your question I do believe this oil could of stayed in the bike much longer the TBN was still very very high.

    6.4 PSD oil analysis

I used to work as a service writer for a local ford dealership. The 6.0 defiantly had lots of issues. It was kinda of rushed IMOP because of the new emissions standards. The 6.4 is not a updated or bored out version of the 6.0 it’s a completely new engine and has fixed most of the problems the...

1984 Ford F250 6.9 IDI Diesel Which Amsoil?

Hello. Getting ready to pick up a 1984 6.9 IDI f250. For those not familiar with the engine it's basically a 7.3 before it was bored out. It is also normally aspirated. Anyways it has 150k on it and is mechanically sound. I am in Kansas and it will be driven in cold weather, lots of short trips...

Those DOHC 5.4 are nice engines. :-) Me personally would run amsoil 0w-30 SSO. When you got a nice vehicle like that why skimp IMHO.

    Police Cruisers

I was a service writer for a local ford dealership and the hwy patrol would always bring thier cars in. They would use the motorcraft 5w-20 but if I remebered they would always bring thier own filter for oil, air and fuel. I would have to agree the CVPI are very durable never seen one have a...
