I found that a store close to where I live still had some old school Pennzoil synthetic oil... before it went platinum. I took a look at the date on the bottle and it dates back to 2003. This means that it is a true group 4 synthetic , correct me if I am wrong... What would be the OCI on a true...

So then why doesn't this high-end material used in the Napa gold filters? After all, WIX is smart enough to use a bypass, so why isn't Denso ( OE filter for Toyota ) use one? Napa gold uses Cellulose based filter material in their filters as I last recall. I am sure this is like splitting...

So the O.E. filter does not have a bypass valve? If that's the case then why the ____ doesn't Toyota use a bloody Fram filter as their OE filter... What is meant by "Glass media"? Well if the OE filter doesn't have a bypass Valve, I am even more tempted to replace it with the Napa gold filter...

Silver cap.... I believe that is Mobil 1 5W20 ... but the manual calls for 5W-30, which has a blue cap. Is this correct? I don't think it is wise to go 5W-20 when the manual calls for 5W-30..... especially while still under warranty.
