What's the lowest ambient air temp you'd feel safe using SAE 30 in a modern car?

For a Honda Sabre (1100cc). I have actually used numerous oils in this motor. Used the Rotella once, it seemed fine. The rotella is $16.34 for 5 qt. versus $17.50 for the Quaker Q-torque. Thoughts on the Q?

Saw this for $11 for 5qt. @ Wally World on clearance. Says it's a blend. Is this a decent oil? It's rated SM I believe and they have quarts that are rated SL. Doesn't say Energy Conserving on it. Any input?

I just purchased this for the final drive in my 2002 Honda Shadow Sabre final drive. Is this acceptable? The gear lube I had been using was was Honda 80w-90 conventional gear lube. The amsoil looks to meet the same specs (GL-5)as the Honda.
