How do I figure out what specs my 2021 Nissan Versa needs to meet in order to follow manufacturer spec? I know it needs 0w20 but don’t know what specs the oil needs in order to meet.

OCI is scheduled every 5k miles. So I'll be following that for any possible warranty issues. Been using AFE 0w-20 in my wife's '17 sentra and it seems to be doing great. But I'm unsure what the internals of the engine looks like. Guess for $2-3 more, I'll use EP.

I'll look further into the manual but I still don't see anything in her manual. 10-2 only states to use nissan 0w20 oil OR equivalent to above. I'm still educating myself with vehicle oils and what is involved. Thats why I posted because of the source of information you guys are. Thank you.

0w30 is something to ask the service manager at the dealer and get it in writing. Still researching the benefit of 0w30 over 5w30. I live in southern AZ which does get cold but never below -5F. Ended up getting M1 5w30 EP and will utilize their mail-in-rebate

Since you bring up 0w30, wouldn't that void my warranty? Also, I'm still learning the difference between 0w30 and 5w30. I know 0w30 is easier for start up but I don't know why it would have more benefit over 5w30.

No typo on the mileage. Already will be using top tier fuel. Will need to decide if adding a fuel additive before oil changes will be beneficial for the car.
