PYB is a fine oil and will work well in your application. Chrysler seems to love Pennzoil and every Jeep dealer in my area uses Pennzoil conventional as their bulk oil so I'd imagine there are thousands of 3.8's living happy lives with it.

Did Mobil ever share the results of their full tear down? I remember November 22nd being the date they were going to reveal the results but I don't see anything about it on their website or Facebook page.

I read that as Amsoil saying it is "recommended" for applications requiring those specifications but not necessarily that it is officially approved.

You really cannot go wrong with any of those oils. In my opinion there is no measurable benefit in using one of these oils over the other so I would read through their marketing information and pick which you like better or can get cheaper.
