diesel oil users in gas cars please read

I'm getting really tired of all the confusion on what oil to use for flat tappet engines,It's near impossible to find the old CI oils and now the thought of using deisel oils that have a decent amount of zinc might have too much detergent and wipe all the protection of the surface of the metal...

    Motorhead Classic Oil

Sounds good Pablo, that voa is a little old but if nothing has changed by Amsoil to meet the new standards then it should still be good, why doesn't Amsoil have to change to the new standards? cheap oil

Thanks, So I guess the cheap house brand oils are the low additive oils.hmmm This subject is talked about alot on some other posts and it sounded like from the news and other sources that most name brand oils have cut way back on additives because of cataletic converter failures.

    cheap oil

It was my understanding that alot of the newer oils were not using the additives like the old days because of cat failure and so I snagged up the last of the pink additive to use. I usually change when the change oil light comes on or let it go a few hundred miles more.

    cheap oil

I hate to just collect it and never use it, i'm not sure how long it will last in storage. how much is enough to put in half way in a oci, thats a good idea.
