Looking for alternative to Polaris PS4

Thanks for the replies. I run this thing pretty hard in the hot Michigan summers, and it gets under 0 F here during the bitter cold hunting seasons, so I was thinking a decent viscosity range would work for me - I'm just not sure which direction (0 or 50). I'm probably leaning towards the Mobil...

Looking for alternative to Polaris PS4

This is for a 2012 Polaris Ranger 800 XP that I picked up a few months ago. I don't feel comfortable purchasing the Polaris branded oil - They used to call it 2W50, now since I'm assuming they got called out on it, they call it 5W50. Either way, what would you say to use? Redline 5W50 Mobil 1...

The answer to that question is neither - because the Detroit Pistons are going to win it all.

    I'm Quiting the Site/Misinformation...

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I would have named those names as part of the people whose responses I look for, including yours - but, I didn't think it was necessary. Humbleness is a dying art, especially on internet boards.

    I'm Quiting the Site/Misinformation...

I'd like to throw in my opinion on the matter: This first point is to people like Jelly (and many others) - Don't get frustrated if somebody doesn't take your advice. The advice to just a single person on a board like this is viewed by hundreds, or maybe thousands. Whatever the response is by...

Lowest Wear Numbers To Date with Castrol 0w-30 German on 2002 Honda Civic SiR.......

Hey Drink - One thing that wasn't factored into the discussion yet, that I'm interested in, was your driving style this 5500 km's as opposed to the other intervals.

    REDLINE 5w30 in 01 Integra GSR - Analysis #2

Exactly like my Sodium and Potassium #'s. It appears as if the RL theory on these elements is correct, instead of worrying about coolant. A TBN of 2.2 on Redline 5-30 with the type of driving you do seems unlikely. After a 7,000 mile constant thrashing of the same oil in my Honda motor yielded...

Plug indication problem (w/ Pics of Plugs)

Yes - actually Pablo, I ordered the IK22, instead of the IK20 (1 heat range cooler). The only thing about changing them more often, is that they are quite expensive - ~$14/plug. I know I gotta pay to play - but if they are lasting, then I'd like to let them last.

Plug indication problem (w/ Pics of Plugs)

I pulled my plugs last night because they are getting old, and I've been wanting to change them for a while now, but haven't gotten around to it. This is with about 36.5k on NGK IZFR6K11 Iridiums - would these pics indicate anything? : Plug 1 would be the closest to the throttle body.

'94 Civic, 268K, after head gasket

maybe I'm confused as to what you're saying, but Honda definitely uses 5-20 in the new cars. I've watched them put it in my motor.

Redline 5w-30: '02 Honda Civic Si - 7k Miles on oil

Speaking of the head lifting off the gasket, or the gasket failing - I had one instance at the 1320 on the launch. I had a guy that convinced me to borrow his drag radials so I could launch on juice... well, that didn't work well - Drilled the limiter, and my reaction was to get it into second...

Redline 5w-30: '02 Honda Civic Si - 7k Miles on oil

I read the FAQ, and can somebody explain this in small, one-syllable words, please. (okay, that may be difficult ) How does a motor get coolant in it? and how do you stop it? If the basic substances indicate trace coolant, then why is the property of coolant at 0.0%? What is the insolubles, and...

Wilwood 600 EXP Brake Fluid: What is it??

after looking a little more into it, it's definitely DOT4... but why the warnings about 'Not for Highway Use'? And what do you think makes it $20/bottle? [ June 20, 2003, 08:41 AM: Message edited by: DynaSpeed ]

Wilwood 600 EXP Brake Fluid: What is it??

Hey Chris... what makes you say it's Motul RBF600? I'm not too familiar with the Motul Brake fluids considering they are very hard to find around here. Does the RBF600 have about 3 warnings on it stating "not for highway use, or you'll die a flaming, bloody, mess"?

Wilwood 600 EXP Brake Fluid: What is it??

I purchased some of this, and am thinking of using it for a one-day track event. I can't find anywhere on the bottle or on the net if it's DOT5 or not. You think I'd be o.k. if I bleed it in with the DOT4 (I know, it says not to... but still), then after the event, bleed in some Super Blue...
