I hot drain mine (drive/remove a screwdriver through the top right after removal) then let them drain into my recycle jug for about a week and throw them out with a clean blue disposable shop towel wadded up and stuffed into the center.
I had a 16 yr old Toro 20007. Sold it a few years back because the front drive bearings went again and I didn't feel like replacing them. Add to that that the deck had been warped for 7 yrs I decided it was time. Thing still ran strong and started on the 1st pull the day I sold it. Little bit of...
been buying EPAuto charcoal CAFs from Amazon for a few years now, they work well and don't break the bank. I'm a fan of RockAuto but their shipping can be steep when only purchasing a few items.

Toro mower I bought a year ago has the same instructions and I will continue with annual OCs. I've always tipped the mower on its side to drain the oil, takes 10 minutes, part of my maintenance routine.
Had this happen to my 2011 snow blower. We moved in 2016 and the snow blower was stored with SeaFoam treated gas. Fast forward to a month ago, we had a bad snowstorm coming and I really needed to have it going. Obviously it wouldn't start and I was thiking new carb based on the amount of time...
bought a new mower last summer to replace the old Toro recycler 20007 so there won't be much to do this spring. Check/sharpen blade, clean underside of deck, grease wheel bolts, etc.
