Could someone who has installed one in a Honda tell me what size to get for the auto transmission and also how they installed it? 5/16, 1/2 , and 3/8 are the options.
Which hose do you connect it to... the left or right?
OK I looked and the dipstick says Honda ATF Dextron. What can I use to do a partial pan drain and fill? Does it have to be some crazy expensive Honda ATF?
I have to look and see what the dipstick is indicating... What does an external filter look like? Is it so big that it has to bolted down?
The partial fill sounds like a good conservative option. Are there magnets to clean on these pans if not I was going to suck it out with my extractor and...
Car has 140K. I have no service records but it looks like a very clean car, meaning not abused. I have noticed that 2nd and 3rd gear rev high before it shifts unless I really go extremely light on the throttle. What would you do to baseline this car's AT? ARX or MMO for a short run then a fluid...
oops I was looking at the Accents at the same time you guys are right.
As Rosanne Rosanadana would say "Never Mind!"
Although I will say that the 29/40 EPA MPG is quite impressive considering that it isn't a GDI.
Hate to contradict but I just ordered a 2012 Elantra for a family member and it is a 1.8 GDI engine. I believe that only the Elantra touring station wagon retains the 2.0 MFI engine for 2012.

Get yourself a 3/8 to 1/2 drive adapter to attach to the end of your 3/8 inch drive torque wrench. Much cheaper than a new 1/2" drive t wrench. and use the 21 mm impact deep dish socket. You can get 75ft/lbs on that t wrench close enough as long as its even all around so your rotor don't warp.
I had similar symptoms.
Bad news dude..I just went to the dealer and got my fuel pump and computer replaced under warranty. There are TSBs out there for the 2005 2006 Matrix that cover each issue.
I would check for similar TSBs for the Corolla. The bummer is you are probably out of warranty.
I put KYB gas struts with Moog variable rate springs on a 90 corolla. The thing rode like a sports car on rails.
Boy I miss that car!!!
It was a red 5 speed. Good memories.
I have read that with alloy wheels it is reccomended to re-torque the nuts after driving awhile. That would be whether one applies anti-sieze or not.
So... that clouds the issue some. A lugnut could back off after applying anti-sieze and torquing once. But was it the the anti-sieze that caused...
