Just got my first UOA back on a new race engine. Only 24 runs on the first oil.
Here are the numbers, anything sticking out that you guys have seen before.
Oil is Schaeffer's Race Oil 20-50 Supreme 7000
Copper-15
Iron- 73
Chromium- 4
Aluminum - 22
lead - 197 (could this be from ARP assembly lube...
I have ran alcohol for years. LEARNED ONE THING>> you won't have the corrosion and metal etching problems if you get the oil up to 200 degrees at the end of the race day and then vent the valve covers so the moisture and alcohol can escape.
I just pull the breathers and it is as clean as it was...
I would try to dominate Sportsman racing. Pretty much like Lucas seems to be doing ..BUT...I can't even find a place to buy their oils, just additives.
Local stock car tracks, local drag strips, etc. Have "truckload sales" to get the ptoduct out there. Post points money at local levels to those...
Thinking about putting Mr Moly in my two drag race engines. 572" and 500" MoparsCurrently using Valvoline Race Oil.
Good idea...bad idea?? Any experience or imput appreciated.

V-10 Ford in Class C motorhome. Used for towing 8,000 pound trailer 100% of the time.
8.500 miles. Thinking 10-30 might add a little extra protection at high oil temps under heavy loads. Good idea or "old-school thinking"?
Right now I run Valvoline. What about adding some Mr. Moly for a 1st...
New to this site but have been drag racing for 25 years. Using synthetics for the last four years but with methanol for fuel now it will require more changes due to alcohol dillution (pretty much impossible to stop).
