Did a fluid exchange and shifting is worse.

If this sucker uses clutch bands, they're toast. Sorry

You've GOT to be $%#@&% kidding me.

Correct me if I am wrong, but youre suppose to check your oil when the car is cold.

    I'm done DIYing...

I think this whole argument is moot because of the oil that is used in the car from the dealer. I am synthetic all the way; from an engineering standpoint, it is fundamentally superior to conventional oil. Fact. Deal with it. I, like many of the BITOGers out there, can find almost any group...

    Which is better?

    Purolator by a long shot.

Any one using these brakes and rotors from ebay??

Absolutely do not buy. I warped two sets of these pieces of garbage.

    AFE air filters ?

Here is the long and the short. I replaced my K&N cone (cleaned and lightly oiled as needed) with the largest AFE filter I could squeeze in the SS. The K&N was replaced as it left dust in the intake boot and all over the sensors. The AFE has left the intake clean and bone dry. I would also...

Fuel system cleaner for new car.

As content as you are with your cars success (congrats btw, honestly) the amount of money you could have saved in gas had you used a proper FSC, is most assuredly astronomical. I am glad you believe yourself to be right, but sadly if I agreed with you, we would both be incorrect.

    Cleaning new rotors

You want brake cleaner. MAF cleaner is very gentle and way more expensive than brake cleaner. Brake cleaner is also stronger than carb cleaner. Dont waste the carb and maf cleaner as they are specifically gentler to not harm components. Brake cleaner is what is needed.

    treating rust

There are stainless steel sprays that will help force the passive oxidation layer's formation. They smell like citric acid, which is a very strong oxidizer and helps form a chromium rich layer. It is to a much smaller degree than full passivation, but it is very good as a PM. You should degrease...

Oil wt for summer driven LS1?

I would say if your car likes GC, you can try going with M1 0w-40. I usually recommend GC to people who like M1 0w-40 though FYI. M1 HM 5w-30 is also a solid choice. If you want 5w40, go with Rotella T6, it is loaded with goodies. This also depends on your OCI. How often do you change your oil?

    Soybean oil added to Gasoline

Do it to it man. I have written out all the possible chemical reactions that could take place in instances of my additive brews, and most if not all the related compounds that would be produced are even more potent at cleaning than the initial additive was. This would worry me if there wasn't...

    Oil Change Filter mistake

Well you will be going where no man has gone before....Jk. I would say keep the filter on there for 5k max. If you want to go more, just keep an eye on oil pressure and check your dipstick for anything out of the usual.

    nice accident description on news

I immediately posted this on my facebook (I never do this, so you know that the video was good!). What an awesome, awesome dude, bro, bro. I literally laughed out loud half the video.

    Oil Change Filter mistake

Bring that orange can of death in disguise back. I foolish purchased one thinking it had the ester based stop leak sealant that does work. I figured, perfect! This thing will help stop leaks in conjunction with the high mileage oil I use. WRONG. The stuff they stick in there is just super super...

    Soybean oil added to Gasoline

Ive been doing something like this for a year now, but I use highly filtered WVO, not "rancid" oil. I also do not just add the oil and think I am doing the same thing as MMO or TCW3, I have a special blend of other ingredients (octane boosters, cleaners, lubes) that I have invented. It...
