Narrow body B757, Widebody L-1011 are my favorite. Had the pleasure of working on them. loved them both from a maintenance POV. Hated working on the A310. A330 and B767 I like. 737NG is ok but lower to the ground which means alot more crawling around. A320 series and dash-8 are ok to work on.

I'd say go with a 40 weight maybe a euro oil. Castrol 0w40 is easily available at Canadian tire and when on sale it's around $30.
