    Need generac mechanic advice

I put a generac v twin in my mower, When at full throttle it runs at 3450 rpm and under load about 200 less. I know that dixie chopper uses this motor and runs it at 3500 under load. I took the cleaner box off and noticed the spring on the throttle governor arm is set at the lowest position. I...

Air cooled engine in cold weather ?

My 2cents...I know my snow blower has a casing that uses the exhaust to heat the incoming air in the carb. My generac 33hp engine also has a vent that is used to pull warm air when it is below 0 out.

    Fluid for Steiner 4wd tractor

The manual recommends "Steiner fluid", but I noticed that Ventrac (which uses the same axles and pump) is now using hydro torz xl, sae 5w-30. The tractor has Sauer/Danfoss Series 15 pumps and motors. The trans axles are peerless 2600. The same sump is responsible for the drive train and...

I am just about done adding a turbo to my briggs diesel, but I am having problems figuring out where to drain the oil from the turbo. Ive tried searching the internet for a pic of the turbo drain tube, but just cant seem to find a good shot. If anyone has a 31 or 35 briggs turbo diesel, I could...

    Volvo Penta DP290 OD lube

I also have a duoprop drive and I run the volvo branded stuff in mine. Ive had amsoil in it, but decided that saving $10 once or twice a year was not worth it on a 5 to 10 thousand drive.

    confused about cermets

As for the motor, I steamed it with needle and water before rx. Sorry didn't take readings. As for needles, here in Minnesota you can just buy them at a pharmacy. If they ask you why, tell them that you are injecting water into your engine to clean the cylinders. They look at you dumbfounded...

    confused about cermets

Here is my 2cents. I have a 305 marine engine that was more than tired. Last year I did a round of autorx. Didn't seem to do anything for the engine. this spring I checked the vacuum at the carb and it was non existent at idle. I couldn't get the motor to idle. I checked the compression on one...

AutoBeef -- Honda has 4 of top 6 worst cars

Agree, no long long term goals for business. Get ride of wall street and maybe we can concentrate on building something we are proud of.

To my surprise, this snake oil fixed my whining PS

If you run over to you website, they have a nifty video. But what it is supposed to do is fill in the tiny imperfections with a ceramic metal material. It only solidifies where the friction is greatest. The web site states that the newly formed layer is smoother than the original metal and...

To my surprise, this snake oil fixed my whining PS

I was looking to waste some money a few weeks ago, so I ordered some Ceramizers PS goop. My Power steering on my 2005 Silverado has been acting weird for quite a while, and when it started getting cold it was starting to make noise. I tried changing the fluid a few different times with several...
