Hi, This is the second oil change on a 2019 titan xd with the Cummins isv.5.0. Initial oil change was at 5k before delivery, I than changed oil at 10k and pulled a sample. Oil in crank case is delvac 10w30. Thoughts? Seems like the 10w30 is thinning out pretty good, should I go up to 5w40...

I wish I could use 15w40, but unfortunately it's under warranty and its not an approved weight. Its only 10w30 or 5w40. I may run rotella 10w30 either T4 or T5, or val premium blue. Trying to balance engiebwear and dpf life.

Just concerned since there been a few broken / blued cranks. Would it be better to go up to 5w40? Ram ecodiesel had to change oil recommendations from 5w30 to 5w40. Waiting for it to hit 10k for its second oil change and its first fuel filter change. Will post UOA... U unfortunately Cummins did...

Only reaso6i say it sucks its because 15w40 is the most prolific, at least around here it is.. yes we are definitely talking about diesel rated oils, no doubt..

Well if anyone runs into this odd fluid requirement. I have found the solution. i emailed borg warner and they got back to me. turns out the borgwarner 44-40 tcase in dodge LX body cars (charger,etc) with awd spec this fluid also and mopar sells it by the quarts. a bit pricey though at 30 bucks...

Going to try 5 w 30. Next oil. Change running mc 5 20. Now. Probably penzoil or Quaker state. Is it worth it going syn. I tow small skiff 2k max occasionally.

FYI, no luck finding this stuff in anything less than 5 gals. someone has to have quart size containers just labeled differently. the mobil fluid LT has about the same viscosity as atf 7.2 cst, its mainly used in tractor transmissions. the newer borg warner trasfer cases in dodge chrysler...

yeah right, i'll change the t/case fluid every oil change and still have some left till 300K. LOL. haven't dump in it 75w 80 fluid because of the friction mods it needs cause of the torque on demand all wheel drive system/clutches, etc
