I have a 1999 F150 Lariat 5.4 that I bought new.
It has 148,000 miles on it.
I have used evry brand of synthetic oil and filter brands there are. I change my oil/filter every 4 months.
I have also changed the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.
My truck runs super strong and smooth, and...
I have to say that the Craftsman shop vac quality today is no where as good as it used to be.
My wife bought me a 5 gallon Craftsman shop vac in 1980. I have abused it worse than anything I have ever owned. It went thru two home constructions, heavy duty weekly use, and I even use in on my...
MityVac Fluid Extractor....you can fully remove the brake fluid on all 4 wheels in about 20 minutes.
Attach it to a bleeder, pump it up, open bleeder screw. Then stand by the master cylinder and pour in fluid.
Super easy.
There is a Sunoco station in Medfield, MA that would post the cash price for gas on the top of the pump, and when you pumped the gas, the credit price would register in the pump.

MityVac Fluid Extractor.
Place it on each wheel, pump it up, and open the bleeder.
Stand by the master cylinder and watch the fluid go down.
Add before the master goes dry, and tighten the bleeder.
Repeat at other 3 wheels.
Takes about 5 minutes per wheel.
End result = rock hard pedal.
My first new car was a 1974 Camaro Z28. Burgandy, black interior, stripe delete, T400, 3.73 posi, spoilers, AM/FM stereo.
My girlfriend (now my wife) picked it off the lot at Butler Chevrolet in Lowell, Mass.
Traded is a mint 1971 Charger R/T.......
3 things:
1. Throwing trash out
2. People who have dogs in the back of pick up trucks
3. GLN - Green Light Narcolepsy...people who sleep at the green light and don't move.
I use the fail safe method of good quality jackstands, with pieces of 6"x6" timbers cut to 12" long as the back up.
I figure if the stands AND the timbers fail, it is my time to meet the good Lord.
If I use the jackstands on asphalt, I place 3/4" plywood under them.
