I buy 5-6 bottles from the dealer for a single flush of Honda p/s system. Its not very expensive and you can ask for small discount. I always use the method OP described, return hose into recycle container and refill fresh fluid into reservoir.

Same here, learned through failure long ago that permatex green caliper lube swells up rubber bushing. Switched to Syl-glide and have not had any issues since. At the time, maybe 4 years ago, when it happened on Subaru, I was freaking out, because I thought the issue maybe related to the Subaru...

I have bought old versions of this purolator filter, before the boss came out, aka purolator classic. It was exactly same thing. It was always a Mann filter inside the package, and earlier versions even had Mann markings on it.
